Prostitution

Why would anyone do it?

Well I think no one plans to do it. it’s the greed for some or forced into it. apparantly prostition has a lot of money, and for this reason many pimps tend to trade prostitues and stay rich! Majority of the girls are usually foreign, speak no enlgish or the language of where they are traded to, so that they do not contact the police.

Many girls do this to earn moe the easy way, morally it’s COMPLETELY wrong! There are many other ways to earn money than selling yourself for it. Either girls are influenced or inspired to look ‘IN’ and these days people kill to look good aswell.

I think there should be support available for these girls as there is for everything else. They pupils in schools should receive education to prevent being drawn into these things.

I Swear!

Swearing! People don’t breathe as much as they swear these days. Even if a person was learning a new language, the first thing they would learn are the swear words. Swearing once was a shameful thing to do. Morally, swearing is wrong. It’s a sin according to Religions. But you hear even the religious ministers doing it. It’s a bad habit that usually starts at the beginning of childhood. Its in media, comisc, newspapers. Even the advers seem to promote the idea of swearing as it Is more ‘catching’
Theres nothing more that I can discuss about this topic, it’s a ‘disease’ that has no cure but has spreaded like air wolrd widely (more like a unviersal languaage) :p

Body MODIFICATION?

The words ‘modification explains a lot by it self. Tattooing once body has become a fashionable activity. Once it was known as an ‘odd’ thing to do. However, now it’s like buying a new pair of shoes. Majority of the young girls from the age of 5-6 want a tattoo. There are many individuals who are addicted to having their body tattooing or piercing from head to toe….. : S and now there’s even eye tattooing! What’s next?

Asian use Henna (Mehndi) An herbal mix liquid which is use to draw out patterns. But this is totally harms and purely temporary. That’s another way of tattooing once body, why use the harmful way? Pulse if it goes wrong, it’s not staying for long for u to amend! : P

Tattooing

Coometing on Miny's post on tatooing;

The lecture WAS a bit awkward. Tattooing once body isn’t a ‘cool’ thing to do. Especially for those who are really obsessed with tattooing and piercing their body :s

drinking

commenting on Hafsa's post;

I totally agree with you, it is a ‘general’ activity in Britain to get drunk! It has become the culture of this society. Looking at it overall, I think it’s a growing problem. No wonder why the children see it as fashion or as a growing up thing to do because they are so use to seeing their elders drinking in front of their faces!

Bandits and Outlaws

As we see in history there were many personalities that were known as outlaws i.e. Robin Hood, Jesse James and Pretty Boy. Even though these were called ‘Robbers, Outlaws, and even ordered to be killed. However, these weren’t all bad as many would sound. Robin Hood a legend for the poor, who would pronounce him as ‘noble robber’ he robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. This was not seen as morally wrong to do so. They were champions for the poor and political outlaws. Jesse James, another outlaw that inspires the Americans even today. He let his gang to rob the trains of America.

These were involved in morally wrong activities; however they had good reasons to do so. The law system hated them for their behaviour, where as the poor, or weak adored the. I guess that was how they actually got the way back from the richer, as many were not as kind to feed the poor neighbour. In another words these legendary outlaws probably existed for the best.

Typical Asian Girl….. Continued…

I know our religion (Islam) does not force the females into anything. Infact its gives the most freedom to us than any other! Obviously, the RIGHT way. However, as i have mentioned before, it’s the parents who use the culture and label it is 'religion' this happens with majority of Asian girls, not just Muslims but even Sikh and Hindu’s.

About the relationship issue, religious wise wrong… but our religon also teaches us the reason why it’s wrong to do so. However, looking at the culture here, not every youth practices them (why) Even though our religion teaches us to get married ASAP if we feel that we have seen/heard/found the right partner, BUT at this point parents come in with their caste issues (blackmailing starts) Probably why our generation chooses to have the same partner for so many years instead, of course undercover! This is reality..... Would you class this as morally right or worng?

Overall, I would still say if our religion was practiced the RIGHT way, these problems wouldn’t have existed at all!

Typical Asian British Girl

Having to leave education straight after GCSE’s or being “watched” till you get married even being forced to stay home and cook for the family. These concerns are still on British Asian girls minds, even though you’d think time has moved, tradition have changed. But for many Asian girls, they are still under treat from their so called traditional families. Families, which may use the concept of “Religion” to emotionally blackmail the girls to obey their orders.

While working with young Asian girls studying at stage 4, I realised their concerns are quite similar even now. Many worry about making a ‘stupid’ mistake i.e. having a boyfriend and getting caught by their family; this could stop their education even before they were to apply for FE.

However, I’m still considering whether the society would address these issues morally wrong or would you call it “Being a Bad Asian?”
